Pachanga 2015

Austin’s annual gathering of acts rooted in Latin music, Pachanga Fest, transforms into a Texas tour this year, with satellite concerts in Houston and Dallas preceding a grande show at Fiesta Gardens on May 16.

Mexican electro-rock favorites Kinky make their Pachanga debut as headliners of the three-date traveling engagement that hits Houston’s Warehouse Live on Thu., May 14, and Dallas’ Gas Monkey Live the next day, before landing locally for a daylong festival on Sat., May 16. Also on the bill is Compass – a collaboration between Camilo Lara (Mexican Institute of Sound) and Mexican DJ Toy Selectah – plus political pop singer Ceci Bastida.

The three headliners join a lineup that includes Mexican singer-songwriter Ximena Sarinana, Latin Grammy-toting Spanish rapper Mala Rodriquez, Mexican smooth rock stars Motel, earnest indie rockers Enjambre, and eclectic Chilean indie pop singer Maria Del Pilar. Additional artist announcements for Austin’s eighth annual Pachanga Fest will follow.

Limited early bird tickets, known as “Pachanga Ganga” passes, go on sale this Saturday, March 7, at 10am. General admission tickets cost $40 and VIP tickets, which include tacos and upgraded amenities, run $80. After April 1, prices increase to $50 and $100. Tickets for the Houston and Dallas shows run $20 in advance and $25 day of show.
