Wyclef Jean

Monday 10, ACL Live at the Moody Theater

Fugees member Wyclef Jean headlines this year’s Andy Roddick Foundation Gala. He last visited Austin in 2019 for a panel at the LBJ Library, and his belief in music’s barrier-breaking power still holds true today. “By the time I’m 12, I can’t speak English – I can’t tell the difference between Pink Floyd, [the Police’s] Synchronicity, Run DMC, and Bob Marley,” the Haitian rapper/singer said at the time. “It all just sounds like good music to me. I think the responsibility is that we have to instill the truth about music to kids at a very young age.”
