No one could’ve predicted the four-plus years that’s transpired since Young Thug ended his SXSW 2022 set at Moody Amphitheater with YSL Records smash “Ski.” YSL’s highly publicized RICO trial fractured his relationship with “Ski” collaborator Gunna, and the intro to the chameleonic Atlanta rapper’s first post-jail album features spamming of the N-word taken right out of the playbook of a teenage edgelord who’s played too much Call of Duty. This tour is largely in support of YSL Records’ new album, Slime Language 3, which introduces the label’s new roster.
