Earlier this year, Texas State alum BARTLY impressed American Idol judges with his rendition of Khruangbin & Leon Bridges’ “Texas Sun.” He released his soulful second EP, MR. NOBODY, last Friday. He celebrates his new five-song project this Friday at the Pershing with support from Seth Celdrán.

Sunday 19, Brushy Street Commons

This Sunday marks the first edition of Brushy Street Commons’ intimate new Alley Bar Sunday Sessions series. Alley Bar Sunday Sessions feature two songwriters swapping songs for two acoustic sets each night. Capacity is limited to 36 tickets for each set. Cleburne-bred artist Angel White (“IF YOU’RE GONNA LEAVE”) and Night Cap’s Ryan King kick-start the series. Its other two dates are August 23 and September 13.

Sunday 19, HowMuch?! Studios

NORTHSIDEBULLY (fka Dowrong) hosts a listening party for his upcoming album. The former League of Extraordinary Gz member will perform after playing his unreleased full-length. Wacotron (“Cut Me Up”), Southside Hippie, and Brookie B will also perform during the post-listening party showcase.
