Big K.R.I.T.

Friday 12, Emo’s

Big K.R.I.T. returned last year with Dedicated to Cadalee Biarritz, a swift-moving album made in tribute to his personal Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz. The 2025 release full of odes to slab culture contains expectedly crafty lyricism from the Mississippi rapper. “The Everliving Sub Knocker” rattles with Earth-shattering bass: “If I pop my trunk, it’ll snatch yo soul / …it’ll crack this globe / ’Til the crust form dust and the core exposed / And the bottom of the choppers, tipping on the multi lava.” Soul singer/fellow Mississippian KIRBY opens.

H-Town Throwdown

Saturday 13, Round Rock Amp

Aughts Houston hip-hop heavyweights take a trip to Round Rock for the annual H-Town Throwdown. This year’s lineup features Bun B, Lil’ Flip, Lil’ Keke, Mike Jones, and Z-Ro. Multiple members of the bill have released new albums in the past year: Bun B teamed with Cory Mo for WAY MO TRILL last November, Lil’ Keke released Streets Is My Witness back in March, and Z-Ro dropped Never Love a Bitch Again in February.
