Sunday 31, Sagebrush

David Dalton of Continental Drift and los Desechos spearheaded Voices of Austin, an eight-track album showcasing musicians from other countries who have not only made the Texas capital their home, but brought the sounds of their cultures. This show occurs two days after the album’s release and features each of the work’s participants: Indimaj, Sahara Allstars, Superfónicos, and Dalton’s aforementioned groups.

CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso

Thursday 4, Moody Amphitheater

These childhood friends hailing from Buenos Aires, Argentina, return to Austin less than a year removed from their ACL Fest debut. The Grammy-winning duo tours in support of second full-length FREE SPIRITS, which arrived in March after planned PAPOTA successor Top of the Hills was canceled. FREE SPIRITS lives up to its title: Jack Black utters baby sounds over a bossa nova instrumental (“Goo Goo Ga Ga”) after cinematic opener “Nada Nuevo,” and Sting appears on “Hasta Jesús Tuvo Un Mal Día.”
