Two Hoots & a Holler’s Farewell

Saturday 4, C-Boy’s

Two Hoots & a Holler closes its 40-plus-year run this weekend. The farewell performance is also a benefit for founding member Rick Broussard, who recently suffered a stroke, according to a GoFundMe created last month. Scheduled special guests during Two Hoots & a Holler’s swan songs include Penny Jo Pullus, Jeff Smith, and Mitch Webb. LeRoi Brothers and Ugly Beats will also perform.

JahleelFaReaL

Saturday 4, Flamingo Cantina

Austin-based rapper JahleelFaReaL has exuded a perennial cool on the mic throughout his releases, but his latest effort sees him flex his production chops. Primarily self-produced March drop MR. ONE & ONLY, his first new project of 2026 after releasing three last year, features a wavy, Neptunes-esque guitar loop (“LAY IT DOWN”) plucked straight from the Aughts. He’ll also support Maryland rapper Premo Rice at Brushy Street Commons the following week.

Hail the Sun

Tuesday 7, Emo’s

After performing at Come & Take It Live last June, California-based progressive post-hardcore band Hail the Sun (“The Drooling Class”) trickles up Riverside in support of its Zakk Cervini-mixed 2025 album, cut. turn. fade. back. Foxy Shazam, Makari, and Mella support.
