Franz Ferdinand

(Domino)

Nothing like early-Seventies hipsters on acid. Not Franz Ferdinand, the lovable Scottish fourpiece in sweater vests and skinny ties. Showcasing seven performances from their chart-topping 2003 debut, this DVD hits the States two months after sophomore follow-up You Could Have It So Much Better, but then the jangly chorus of “Take Me Out” is probably still stuck in your head. Lucky for you the entire debut’s performed three times (disc two comprises two complete sets from London’s Brixton Academy and San Francisco’s Regency Grand), and a 30-minute tour doc stars a karaoke party with the aforementioned Seventies hipsters.
