San Francisco’s BJM always took a pretentiously artsy approach to garage psychedelia, which explains how their rock fervor fades so perfectly into Musique de Film Imaginé, soundtrack to an imaginary film inspired by front maniac Anton Newcombe’s love for French film scores. A suite of languid mood pieces pulses “Après le Vin,” a bedroom-eyed slow jam to accompany the femme fatalism of “Philadelphie Story.” “Le Sacre du Printemps” noises a triumphant opus.
