Emmis Austin announced today that KGSR hired Mark Abuzzahab as its new Music Director and afternoon drive personality, replacing iconic deejay Jody Denberg, who signed off on Dec. 5.

During his 18-year broadcast career, Abuzzahab has worked with Minneapolis’ Rev-105 and Cities 97, along with Woxy, long before the now FM-turned-web radio station relocated locally. More recently, he served as Music Director for Clear Channel’s KBCO, an adult alternative station in Boulder, CO dubbed “World Class Rock.” Abuzzahab hits Austin airwaves on Feb. 22.
