Fair in Manor, 2008 Credit: Sandy Carson

It’s been a little while since we heard a peep from Jad Fair. 2008’s Half Japanese reunion at SXSW was a total geekgasm, but 2009 saw little from the prolific musician and artist. However, Fair’s not one to stay dormant for long.

Sunday night, Fair performs at Salvage Vanguard Theater, backed by Strobe Talbot, who he hasn’t played with in six or seven years. He also mentions new songs have appeared, and that recordings of said songs will happen this week.

The trio of Ralph White, Walter Daniels, and Jeff Pinkus opens the night, along with party-crashing trio Hug. 8pm, $7.
