On Taste of Christmas, the Used’s Bert McCracken covers Lennon’s “Happy Christmas (War Is Over),” and it’s a god-awful, overprocessed mess. Skindred does that reggaeton/metal version of “Jingle Bells” you never wanted to hear, and the once virginal “First Noel” is now wet with teenage boy tears thanks to My American Heart. This Taste kind of made me want to vomit.
