Austin Psych Fest has announced the lineup for the 2024 edition of the festival, with Courtney Barnett, Kurt Vile, Alvvays, and the Black Angels leading the bill.

The event takes over the Far Out Lounge, April 26-28. After relaunching last year with big names Toro Y Moi, Yves Tumor, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, next year’s Psych Fest continues with rock and psychedelic scene insiders. Friday headliner Barnett issued collaborative album Lotta Sea Lice with Sunday closer Vile in 2017, and both artists are Levitation alums.

Saturday’s lineup includes J Mascis side project Witch, Frankie & the Witch Fingers, L.A. WITCH., and All Them Witches, lending an especially spooky vibe to day two. Other notable names heading to South Austin this spring include Chicano Batman, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, and No Vacation on Friday – plus DEHD, Yellow Days, Still Corners, and Blondshell on Sunday. Video artists Mad Alchemy, TV Eye, and drip//cuts lend visual elements to the trippy outdoor event, while the press release specifically teases a “new visual experience” from the Black Angels and TV Eye.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, Dec. 15 at 10am. Single day tickets and weekend passes are available. Fans who bought tickets to last year’s Psych Fest or Levitation land access a day early, Dec. 14 at 10am.

The Black Angels launched Austin Psych Fest in 2008. The event changed its name to Levitation in 2015, then became a multi-venue fall festival in 2018. The OG fest was revived as a separate, springtime shindig last year, while Levitation will continue to go down on Halloween weekend 2024. Local concert promoters Resound Presents co-produce both events.
