This chain sandwich spot from Dallas is already popular with Generation Y singles who occupy the Triangle apartments. Which Wich? offers a practically limitless selection of customizable sandwiches designed specifically for takeout, though the small storefront does have table space to dine on the premises, as well. Like so many of the Triangle’s eateries, the format here is order at the counter. Cus­tomers choose which meats (or nonmeats) they want then build their own sandwiches from there. Choose from wheat or white, grilled onions or fried onions, Dijon or honey mustard, olives or pepperoncini, hot sauce or oil and vinegar, cheddar or provolone. None of the above? Then build your own exactly how you want it. All sandwiches are hot; meats and other ingredients are typically fresh (except for the fried shrimp on my shrimp po’boy, which was soggy from having been fried too far in advance). From roast beef to tuna melts to grinders and muffulettas, Which Wich? has ’em all and has ’em exactly how you want them, usually for less than $5. Look for a new online ordering feature to be implemented in the near future – how convenient is that?
