Hopdoddy Burger Bar

Not too long ago, we spilled the beans that Chuy’s is coming to Mueller (estimated opening date is early 2024, “if not sooner”).

Today, the sprawling mixed-use development in Central East Austin announced that Hopdoddy Burger Bar and Honest Mary’s will join the Aldrich Street strip in 2024.

This will be Hopdoddy’s seventh location within Austin city limits. The fast-casual burger joint opened its first shop on South Congress in 2010 and quickly became a local favorite for its creative burgers with various proteins (lamb, tuna, plant-based), craft beers, and decadent shakes (Nutella pretzel for life, y’all).

Honest Mary’s will anchor the AMLI Branch Park building, bringing its Austin total to four locations. The locally owned bowl joint, which offers signature bowls as well as customizable ones, should provide stiff competition to national chain sweetgreen, which opened its doors in fall 2022.

Soon, residents of Mueller and the adjacent neighborhoods will be able to dine at a different restaurant once a week without any repeats.
