Redfish Tacos at Cafe Josie

1200-B W. Sixth, 322-9226

Tuesday-Friday, 11:30am-2pm, 6-10pm; Saturday, 6-10pm
In a town full of tacos, there are a few versions that really stand out. Cafe Josie’s Redfish Tacos are among them. Crispy, barely fried, and flaky fish is rolled together with red cabbage and lime-cilantro aioli in a light flour tortilla. The accompanying pepper mojo picado, however, gives this dish its rocket boost. Made with red peppers, lotsa garlic, and a variety of spicy chiles, this little sauce blends sweetness, saltiness, and acidity with just the right degree of heat. This peppery nuevo-Mexican creation has genuine flair.
