There are Easter egg hunts all over the city catering toward kids and their relentless need for candy and trinkets, but very few that cater to adults and their needs, too. And by needs, I mean carbohydrates and wine.

Enter Trattoria Lisina, the Tuscan-inspired Hill Country arm of the Mandola’s family of Italian concepts. Beginning at 9:30am on Sunday, April 20, the restaurant will host two Easter egg hunts, one for children aged 5 and younger and one for kids 5 and up. (So, those lucky 5-year-olds can get in on double the egg-hunting action!)

The restaurant will open an hour early at 10am so that Mom and Dad can partake of Trattoria Lisina’s new spring menu items, without a blessed glazed ham in sight. Including fritto misto di verdure (fried artichokes and pepperoncini with olives, $11), the al funghetto pizza featuring smoked mushrooms and Texas goat cheese ($14), and the spring-appropriate lamb ragu served with gnocchi ($20). As always, the grownups can enjoy a full complement of wines from Mandola’s vineyards. Top it off with some mascarpone cheesecake or sea salted caramel chocolate cake and everyone’s happy. Call for reservations.
