October marks the beginning of slightly cooler temperatures, pumpkin flavored everything, and more importantly, Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Despite several high-profile campaigns in the past few years, the need for funds still remains. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death among women and an estimated 220,000 women in the United States alone will be diagnosed with breast cancer every year. That’s why two Austin staples – Hey Cupcake and Daily Greens – are giving you an opportunity to put your money where your mouth is.

Hey Cupcake will be donating a portion of the proceeds from their Sweetberry signature cupcake to the Breast Cancer Resource Center of Texas. The bestseller is made with homemade strawberry cake topped with strawberry cream cheese frosting and is available at all 6 locations. Same-day delivery is also readily available for those unable to make it to the food trucks or shop.

For those with less of a sweet tooth, Daily Greens is also stepping up. The cause is personal for Daily Greens founder Shauna Martin. A breast cancer survivor herself, she attributes her survival to drinking green juices daily.

Look for pink tags this month on your favorite juices , including the new Replenish chocolate hemp milk. You’ll get a 50¢ discount, and a 50¢ donation will be donated to the Youth Survival Coalition.
