Austin has its own Tet celebration, taking place this year on Saturday, Feb. 5, from 10am to 4pm at John B. Connally High School, 13212 N. Lamar. There will be dragon dances, many food booths, big crowds, Viet culture displays and demos, music, and all manner of general merriment. With most people working jobs during the week and with Feb. 9 falling on a Wednesday this year, scheduling concessions had to be made. Whatever day it’s held on here in the States, you’re guaranteed to have a blast, learn about Viet culture, and eat some great food!
