With a huge surge in registration for first-time voters across Texas (and the rest of the United States), this year’s midterm is one to watch.

If the idea of sitting alone in your living room and sweating out the results of the impending blue wave is giving you the shakes, or if you (like us) believe you should get a reward more exciting than the sticker you’ll be posting selfies with, you’re in luck! There are tons of places around town poised to reward you for flexing your civic muscles.

For sweet-toothed voters, The Brewer’s Table will be offering a complimentary toasted barley ice cream cone topped with yeast caramel, hop honey, and a beer grain waffle.

All three locations of Turf n Surf will be offering voters 20% off nachos when they show their sticker.

Beloved California-based burger chain Shake Shack will be offering democratically-minded diners free french fries with any order once they show a team member their sticker. The offer also applies to orders placed via the Shake Shack app (just use the code “ivoted” and show your sticker at pickup).

After they’ve loaded up on french fries, ice cream, and nachos, voters can get $2 off any glass of wine at The Infinite Monkey Theorem urban winery, celebrating the locally-sourced nature of their product by encouraging voting as an act of community engagement.

If you’re looking for something harder or want to raise a glass to City Hall, W Austin and TRACE will have happy hour pricing all day long for voters looking to celebrate their civic duty in style.

APT 115 will also be hosting a special election event, offering $2 off everything on the menu. Beer starts at $1 per glass (at one glass per person) and wine starts at $5. Work your way down the list as you watch the results roll in.

Or head to Hotel Ella for their midterm election watch party from 5-10pm, with happy hour running until 7pm. Guests can park their cars at the $5 valet and watch the results roll in under a tent on the front lawn as they enjoy drink specials and bar snacks, as well as free draft beer for those sporting an “I Voted” sticker.
