Sandy’s has been serving up juicy burgers, good fries, and creamy soft-serve ice cream since the late Forties, when Barton Springs Road was little more than a country lane leading to Central Texas’ most beloved swimming hole. Time has not tarnished Sandy’s appeal, however, because it’s still a favorite place to grab lunch or dinner on the way to or from a dip in the springs.
