Eddie V’s is Austin’s newest entry in the seafood genre, and they have selections from the best of America’s seafood treats, such as jumbo Florida stone crab claws ($14.50), crab & oyster gumbo ($5.50), sushi tuna & salmon tartare ($8.75), and popcorn crawfish beignets ($8.75). Seafood entrées include fried shrimp with black cherry horseradish sauce ($18.50), Szechuan catfish with spicy black bean sauce ($17.50), and grilled mahi mahi with spicy pecan butter (17.50), among many others. They use only prime grade beef, 18oz. ribeye ($24.95), for example, and they have a very interesting list of side veggies for two, including cheese grits with red-eye gravy ($4.50). It’s a creative, expansive menu, and well worth the visit.
