Musician and emerging food truck entrepreneur Scott Angle saw potential in this formerly scraggly lot. Once he and the landlord reached an understanding that the lot wouldn’t be sold out from under him, he lavished enough love and attention on the space to make it the comfortable and welcoming place it is today. Now there are picnic tables, tented bar seating, a fire pit (yes, the weather does eventually cool off enough to enjoy one), a stage for music with a dance floor, and LED screens for weekend sports enjoyment. The BSNFC is a home away from home, complete with a variety of American classics and ethnic foods to satisfy every palate. And, it’s always BYOB.
Honky Tonk Hot Dogs Scott Angle’s trailer boasts a menu of hot dogs named for folks he admires. Be sure to try the Dale Watson Texas Chili Dog topped with Angle’s personal chili recipe. 512/761-8622. www.honkytonkhotdogsatx.com Mister FruitCup
