The place debuted with an oenophilic splash 19 years ago, and now Wink restaurant, that popular farm-to-table innovator in the Clarksville neighborhood, reopens its dining room “to celebrate our 19th anniversary and a new beginning for Austin’s dining scene.”
The food-service renaissance begins here with a newly revamped patio area and a five-course dinner paired with wines (pescatarian or vegetarian options are also available). This anniversary tasting menu will be available Thu.-Sat., June 11-13, 5:30-9pm, and you should call 512/482-8868 for reservations.
Also, following the weekend’s welcome-back celebration, Wink will continue dine-in service Wed.-Sat, 5:30-9pm.
[Note for the tipplers: Wink’s bar will be open an hour earlier and close an hour later on each of those days.]
And will there be safety protocols in effect? At least those required by city and state guidelines? Of course – the longtime team’s not just culinarily adept, they’re also not idiots.
“We’ve reconfigured all restaurant logistics for both our employees’ and guests’ safety,” Wink’s Fernando Saralegui informs us. “The new normal is still to be defined, but Wink knows it will be local, sustainable, all Austin, and tasty!”
