Austin is both a foodie and techie heaven, and a good way to prove our caliber in both is with the Food and Beverage Startup Competition to be held on Tuesday, July 21.

The Food Lab at UT is partnering with startup accelerator 33entrepreneurs to host the competition in Austin. Based in Bordeaux, France, 33entrepreneurs is bringing its startup competition to 10 different cities in the U.S. to find the most talented teams in the categories of Wine and Spirits, Food, and Travel technology.

The winners of each category from each city will get the opportunity to pitch their ideas at the grand finale for a chance to win a $100,000 direct investment and a 3-month acceleration program in Europe. The winners of the food and beverage categories will present their idea at the Bon Appetech global food innovation conference in San Francisco, while the winners of the travel category will join the Phocuswright Conference in Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood, Florida.

If you and a group of friends have a compelling business idea and are raring to pitch, sign up here.
