Competitive eating contests are all the rage these days. If you’re fan of Roppolo’s pizzas, this contest could be your chance to win $1,000 worth of pizza for the next year.

Here’s how it works: The three-week contest will be held at Roppolo’s Downtown (316 E. Sixth) Monday through Thursday evenings, July 7-24, from 7-10pm. Contestants must be 21 years old to enter and all contestants will be timed as they eat an entire, giant 22-inch specialty pizza. As long as contestants manage to consume the entire pizza in under 30 minutes, the pizza is free. Anyone who can’t finish the pizza in 30 minutes will pay $10. At the end of the three-week contest, the person with the fastest pizza-eating time wins $1,000 worth of free Roppolo’s pizza for the next year!

The winner will be announced on Tuesday, July 29.
