Launderette, the Eastside locus of culinary excellence wrangled by chefs Rene Ortiz and Laura Sawicki, reopens for dine-in service today.
The restaurant will be following the usual pandemic safety protocols, of course, and they’ve 1) 86’d the bar seating, but 2) added a new social-distance lounge to the venue’s west patio.
You’ll want to make sure you’ve got a mask on while you’re not at your table, citizen. You may also want to remind yourself when seated: As delicious as Launderette’s food has always been, and as delicious as it’s likely to continue being, ain’t nothing ever gonna taste as good as that first bite of [insert favorite menu item here] after so many weeks away.
You know what we mean.
And these are the new dine-in and to-go hours:
Dinner
Fri.-Sat., 5-11pm
Sun.-Thu., 5-10pm
Weekend Brunch
Sat.-Sun., 11am-2:30pm
Note: To ensure that Launderette doesn’t have guests lingering at the host stand or in the dining areas, the restaurant can’t have groups waiting for a table – so make a reservation in advance. You could try just walking in, sure; but if they can’t seat you immediately, you’ll have to wait in your car until your table’s ready.
And then, mmmmm, oh God, that first bite …
