This year’s South by Southwest Film Festival has an eclectic lineup of films slated for screenings at venues throughout the city. The Alamo Drafthouse South and the Alamo Drafthouse at the Ritz each offer full, in-house food service, but it’s a safe bet that many movie fans will be in the market for pre- or post-film dining options. Chronicle contributors Kate Thornberry, Claudia Alarcón, and I scouted the Film venues and compiled lists of worthwhile dining alternatives in each area. You might as well enjoy a great local meal before or after that thought-provoking new movie.
