• Kenobi Restaurant and Sushi Bar (10000 Research, 241-0119, www.kenobiaustin.com) hosts a celebratory new year’s feast and first anniversary party with a Japanese-fusion menu designed by new Executive Chef Egil Valentin, to pay tribute to the Asian tradition of “reunion dinners.” The four-course dinner is $40 per person; guests may choose to enhance their meals with a selection from Kenobi’s impressive sake menu or, for an extra $12, “toast the new year with a variety of premium Japanese sake flights.” Reservations suggested. For $45 per person, guests select five dishes from a list of delectable choices, each perfectly paired with a premium Japanese sake. Seating is limited, and reservations are necessary.
