• The seven Hill Country wineries along the Fredericksburg Wine Road 290 invite you to join them for another trail drive. The Kiolbassa & Kab trail features seven wineries paired with area restaurants or caterers serving up a specific sausage-and-wine pairing at each location. This event grew out of the Texas presentation at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival this summer, where Texas sausage-makers met Texas winemakers and discovered some common ground. Regular tasting charges apply at each winery, but there’s no extra charge for food. For directions and info on participating wineries and restaurants, go to www.texashillsvineyard.com. Saturday, Sept. 20, 10am until the sausage runs out.

• The Protect Darfur Project (www.protectdarfurproject.com) invites you to a fundraising evening of fun, fashion, shopping, spa treatments, music, and magic at the Belmont (305 W. Sixth, 457-0300). A $10 cover gets you into the patio area for the fashion show, shopping, and pampering. Vendors at the event will donate 50% of their proceeds that evening to the charity. Sunday, Sept. 21, 8-10pm.

• September is National Bourbon Heritage Month (who knew?), and Jasper’s (11506 Century Oaks Terrace, in the Domain) is celebrating with a five-course dinner paired with cocktails made with select bourbons from Jim Beam, Booker’s, Baker’s, Knob Creek, and Basil Hayden’s. $65 per person plus tip. For reservations, call Nicole, 832-8012. Monday, Sept. 22, 6:30pm.
