• September has been designated National Bourbon Heritage Month, and a master distiller is touring the country to celebrate. Zax Pints & Plates (312 Barton Springs Rd., 481-0100) kicks off their annual Oktoberfest promotion by tapping a specially made cask of Live Oak Brewing‘s Oaktoberfest brew. This annual tradition includes German food, Oktoberfest beers, and prize giveaways and continues until Oct. 21. Thursday, Sept. 20, 7pm.
