First, we’ll start with the bad news. East Side Show Room is closing after seven years on East Sixth. The final night will be Sunday, July 24. No reason was given for the closure on social media, but we will reach out to the owners.

Now, on to the good news. Boiler Nine Bar + Grill, the long, long, loooooooong anticipated pleasuredome from La Corsha Hospitality, will finally open Tuesday, July 5. The space will host three concepts: Boiler Nine Bar + Grill features a wood-fired menu from executive chef Jason Stude, Deck Nine Observatory Bar will feature great views from the rooftop, and The Boiler Room will be underground for all your peccadillos. All three concepts will feature cocktails from beverage and bar director Jason Stevens and a surprising wine list from wine director Paula Rester.

Then, Kyōten Sushiko from chef Otto Phan will open in Mueller on Wednesday, July 6. The restaurant will move beyond its food truck roots to feature a multi-course omakase (reservation system will be opening on July 3). A casual lunch will be coming soon, according to the website.
