Bitch Beer and Blue Owl Brewing’s Jessica Deahl along with Bitch Beer’s Caroline Wallace have written their own love letter – to beer. Tonight (Dec. 12) a 10-piece series of Austin craft beer posters will be on display (and for sale) at Studium, a co-disciplinary space for art and wares just adjacent to Wright Bros. Brew & Brew. Deahl, a poster artist, has created iconic images meant to be viewed in a series, but substantial and quirky enough to stand alone, each a personification of a local Austin beer. Even more fun, Deahl has tucked small details about the brews in her images. These are for the diehard fans and novices alike.
Participating breweries include Austin Beerworks, Austin Beer Garden Brewing Company, Black Star Co-op, Blue Owl Brewing, Hops & Grain, Independence Brewing Co., Live Oak Brewing Company, Pinthouse Pizza, Real Ale Brewing, and Rogness Brewing Company.
Proceeds from the sell of the posters will directly fund travel expenses for a forthcoming book project from Bitch Beer’s Dealhl, Wallace, and Sarah Wood. Let’s send them to Europe, y’all.
