Citizen Eatery, previously announced in August, is already up to snuff and will be opening by the end of the month. The menu highlighting veggie burgers, seasonal specialties, sides, and all-day breakfast was developed by owners Michael Moyer and Aimee Walden-Moyer with chef Andrew Brooks (you may know him from personal chef service Spirited Food or for being the force behind more than one excellent veggie burger around town) using locally sourced ingredients. Aaaaand did I already mention that there will be alcohol – local beer, organic wine, and cocktails made from cold-pressed juices, botanical blends, and kombucha. So tell your friend that keeps making dumb jokes about bacon that he’ll just have to suck it up.
The space, occupying the former 416 Bar & Grille location, was designed by Walden-Moyer with plenty of natural woods and warm tones. Oh, and there is plenty of parking out back, but you might want to take a Fasten. You know, because of the juice.
