Our long summer nightmare of no Blue Bell ice cream is finally over. Based on a customer poll of most-requested flavors, the Brenham-based company began stocking Central Texas grocery stores with Homemade Vanilla, Dutch Chocolate, Cookies ‘n Cream, and the Great Divide first thing this morning.

“We’ve never done a product relaunch before, and we don’t want to disappoint anyone. We want to make sure the customers who’ve supported us can find Blue Bell in their familiar stores. We’ll start with grocery stores, then drugstores, and then convenience stores,” explained Blue Bell Austin branch manager Darrell Schulte. He went on say that the relaunch will progress slowly as the other two production facilities in Oklahoma and Texas come back online. That means it could be a few months before multiple flavors, Blue Bell novelties, three-gallon containers for scoop shops, and individually packaged bulk scoops are available everywhere.
