Give your ears a break and your body a much-needed bath by dropping by nearby Barton Springs Pool, which is fed by underground springs. A recent grounds-improvement project added an ADA walkway to the pool and more bike racks, making our town treasure even more accessible to the masses. So jump in. At a chill 70 degrees, the water’s always fine.

Hours: 5am-10pm; closed for cleaning on Thursdays, 9am-7pm

Admission (cash only): $3, resident adults;
$4, non-residents; $2, resident juniors ages 12-17;
$3, non-resident juniors;
$1, resident kids ages 11 and under and seniors over 62; $2, non-resident kids and seniors
