Crow Bar is having their annual Mardi Gras party this Tuesday, and Lord knows these guys like to party! Adored for their festive manifestation of what was once a homeless hangout on Congress, this bar has made their mission of serving serious cocktails in a casual, classy-dive vibe quite the success.

Co-owner Mike Densley bartended in New Orleans for almost 15 years and loves bringing the purple, green and gold party to Austin. We can’t guarantee there will be any king cake, but we can say there will be many-a-costumes and fabulous drinks all around. The weekly $2 Tuesday special will be going on, as well as $3 specials on Abita beers, Jim Beam, Monopolowa and other spirits. See the website for more details. Did we mention the hot dog stand at Crow Bar? This is a food blog, right? They are a must!!!! We highly recommend the chili dog. With lobster rolls as the buns, these dogs are hard to pass up. Clem’s Hot Diggity Dogs is only there twice a week, but Crow Bar will soon have a barbeque trailer for your daily grub needs.
