Daily, 8pm-noon

Since 1948, Austin doughnut lovers have found their way to this unassuming cinder-block building to satisfy their cravings. The founding Johnson family sold out to a longtime employee named Patel some years ago, but the old equipment and the freshly made doughnuts remain unchanged. The offerings here are basic and straightforward: doughnuts, kolaches, a few pastries, hot coffee, canned sodas, and cold milk. No seating, no lattes, no Wi-Fi. Take a midnight drive up this stretch of Airport, and the irresistible, seductive aroma of fresh doughnuts wafting from the building will entice you into the convenient drive-through lane for a sweet purchase – the same way it has for 60 years.
