Fat Turkey Chocolate owners Jennifer and Steven Flood are also the creative forces behind the Austin Choco­late Festival – a weekend extravaganza showcasing distinctive local chocolate products and sophisticated production techniques that will benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure breast-cancer foundation. Vendors at the event will present samples of their signature creations and compete for prizes to be awarded in 11 different categories to be judged by both the public and industry professionals. The weekend kicks off with a VIP party to give members of the media and food-service professionals a chance to preview the assembled chocolate wonders. On Saturday and Sunday, guests can buy $20 tickets good for 16 vendor tokens to be redeemed for samples at the various booths.
