The student-run Cafe Bistrette on the Eastview Campus of Austin Community College begins serving lunch for the fall semester today. It’s all part of their Modern American Cuisines course work, providing students an opportunity to experience the restaurant business, up close and personal, in a learning environment.

What Cafe Bistrette provides the diner is a menu of tasty lunch options at a very affordable price, where the only tip required is a comment card about the experience. The fall menu is now available online. The Cafe is open on Wednesdays from Oct.2 through Dec. 4, from 11:30am to 1pm.

The Cafe is one of two ACC dining options open to the public every semester. The International Cuisines class begins offering dinner at Bistro 3158 on Thursday evenings from Oct. 17 through Nov. 21, with seatings at 6pm and 7pm, with reservations necessary.
