So I come in to work this morning and I go through my usual morning routine of going to the Austin Chronicle’s Facebook page to accept friend requests and try to interact with the masses only to discover that our log-in wasn’t working.

After typing in the password a couple of times (very carefully to make sure I didn’t accidentally type something wrong) I noticed a small alert box at the top stating

“Account Disabled

Your account has been disabled by an administrator. If you have any questions or concerns, you can visit our FAQ page here.”

Turns out that Facebook doesn’t allow non-individuals to have Facebook accounts, we are only allowed to have fan pages. As our Facebook profile was already set-up when I started here I wasn’t aware of these limitations. That being said I am working on setting up an Austin Chronicle company or fan page. Check back here or search in the next day or two and we’ll have something up. Until then, we are sorry if you were our friend and are wondering where we went, we’ll be back soon.
