Every month the Good Music Club gathers top notch bands to play a shortened set once a month at ND Studios. The evening begins with free booze and ends with great tunes, who could ask for more?
The Good Music Club is beneficial to both the audience and musicians alike because, apart from the free spirits, a professional team documents the entire show with an elaborate arsenal of cameras and microphones. The polished end product is then shared online and on the GMC’s new online radio station to help further support the participating bands and the local music scene as a whole.
This Saturday is special. On May 26th the GMC is hosting a phenomenal group of Austin based musicians including The Boxing Lesson, Good Field Band, Mr. Lewis and the Funeral 5 and, one of my personal favorites, White Dress. Starting at 7PM the levels of rock will lurch from a psychedelic bombardment of sound to a surprisingly good form of cabaret back to passionate, sex driven rock and roll.
So don’t miss out on this intimate experience curated by KUT’s lovely Laurie Gallardo. You won’t be disappointed. More details online at www.thegoodmusicclub.com.
