South by Southwest 2010 may be 6 months away but that doesn’t mean that you have to forget about it completely. The SXSW PanelPicker is now live and will allow you to vote from a selection of panels. You can vote “thumbs up” if you like it and “thumbs down” if you don’t.

Here’s step-by-step instructions on how to use the SXSW PanelPicker for voting:

* Go to: http://panelpicker.sxsw.com
* Create a free account by clicking the link in the upper left hand corner.
* Browse or search panels and click on either the green “thumbs up” or the red “thumbs down”, depending on whether you think the session is a good fit for the 2010 event. You can narrow the search criteria further by clicking “Search options” at the top of the page.
* Keep in mind, the PanelPicker won’t save any votes unless you are logged in. You can even change your mind until the deadline on Sept 4. Users can also make comments on individual proposals.
