Welcome, friends. We’re opening up a special area of the blog for the brand new 2008 Best of Austin, on stands Thursday. Tonight we had a blast at the Long Center, celebrating with this year’s winners.

The issue’s late production, tonight’s party, and the debates have pooped me out. (The Long Center folks were so sweet to allow us access to their fine Sony monitors to allow guests to watch the last presidential showdown.) I have two radio dates tomorrow morning (tune in, please!): KGSR with morning show winner Brian Beck at 8am and hanging out with Jason & Deb on the Morning X on 101X at 9am.

In the meanwhile, enjoy this sweet li’l pic of yrs truly and Critic Pick (a party fave) Uno the Beagle, the first beagle to ever win Westminster Best in Show and proud Austinite.

More tomorrow. (And promise: Pics of other people!)
