FEMA has relocated its Disaster Recovery Centers from along the gulf coast in Hidalgo and Cameron Counties just west of South Padre Island to Austin in preparation for Hurricane Ike.

Personnel from the agency’s Joint Field Office in McAllen have moved and will continue relief operations for Hurricane Dolly from the center of the state, out of harm’s way.

The deadline to register for Hurricane Dolly aid is Sat., Sept. 30. Assistance is also available online at www.fema.gov.
