The absence of mountains and ocean normally force active Austinites to venture outside the city limits for some extreme thrills. Fear not gnarly travelers: the BANFF Mountain Film Festival will be at the Paramount this weekend.

BANFF is featuring two different movies on Saturday and Sunday. BANFF Radical Reels is a compilation of high-flying, mountain-carving, back-flipping bikers, skiers, and climbers galore. Screenings begin Saturday 4/13, 8pm. The BANFF World Tour offers a colorful depiction of the many global treasures unearthed by wonderful direction and stunning camera work. Screenings begin Sunday 4/14, 6pm.

The films are sponsored by National Geographic, the North Face and Whole Earth Provision, so travel the world this weekend with BANFF as your guide. Watch their awe inspiring trailers here and grab tickets (while they last) HERE.
