Extracurricular Activities
Heavy metal. I had my own radio show on KVRX student radio. We talked about concerts and interviewed metal bands from all over the world. With the breadth of metal bands, it’s a full-time hobby. Also, I like to crotchet iPhone cases.
Cheap Date Close to Campus
The Spider House and the 29th St. Ballroom at Spider House. There are lots of free events. It’s really close to campus.
Favorite Eateries
Coco’s Cafe – snacky place with lunch stuff. If you’re broke, order the Green Onion Pie. Veggie Heaven (Taiwanese), along with the little grouping of Asian restaurants on the Drag. And Mi Madre’s on the Eastside for breakfast tacos and really good waffles.
Favorite Clubs
Mohawk has all-age shows. Elysium has an Eighties night. Barbarella is fun. For shows: Red 7 and Red Eyed Fly. Dirty Dog Bar and Headhunters have a lot of metal shows.
Best On-Campus Study Spot
• LBJ Library lawn. You can read and watch the Quidditch team practice.
