    Get Home Safe

Don't add to holiday stress; plan ahead for transportation to and from celebrations and always choose a sober ride. Capital Metro offers free rides after 5pm on New Year's Eve, and the city offers parking ticket waivers if you end up leaving your car parked at a meter over the time limit. APD enforces its "no refusal" initiative over the holiday as a way to crack down on DWI offenses. Taxis and rideshares might have higher prices and longer waits due to demand, but are worth it – you could save a life. Celebrate safely, y'all!
