    Givers, Naughty Palace

New EP Movin On marks a decade of buoyant, colorful music-making for Louisiana trio Givers. The bright pop capture led by Tiffany Lamson and Taylor Guarisco’s interlocking vox channels the tight, free-wheeling electricity of Dirty Projectors, returning to the band’s roots from 2011 indie debut In Light. Experimental New Orleans synth wiz Marcus Davis opens as Naughty Palace.

Sound & Cinema feat. O Brother, Where Art Thou? w/ Rattlesnake Milk

As a final and free seasonal screening indicates, summer’s on the wane and – dog days aside – your ass will be sorry to see it end. Coen brothers’ 2000 hit, whose soundtrack won an Album of the Year Grammy for its Ralph Stanley-centric roots and folk, pairs up with veteran, homegrown cowpunk by Rattlesnake Milk. Food truck windows open 6pm, music at 7:30, and Clooney celluloid at dusk.
