Now here's one "grand opening" that may actually be as
grand as that overused word implies: An upscale eatery known as The Gramercy – yes, kinda sorta historically related to
the Gramercy in New York – is opening in the Oaks at Lakeway shopping center. This new bar, lounge, and restaurant is a project by proprietors
Suzanne and Billy-Joe Hunt, who've recently moved to this area, who've designed the venue with "a 1920s sort of elegance" to provide "a comfortable and relaxing refuge for its guests, with an emphasis on community. There are a wide variety of seating options throughout the space, both indoor and outdoor with safety in mind. The menu presents elevated takes on classic American bar food, including steak frites, sliders, brick chicken, and a Texas-sourced kielbasa with house mustard." Stylish, you know? Classy. Maybe leave the gimme cap at home when you step into this place to give it a look-see and sample those elevated takes, OK? Consider wearing your
Armani mask, and tip well.
Grand opening: Fri., Oct. 9, 4pm-1am
